This is readily understood by Microsoft Excel's Import Wizard.

(5 columns per record, 5 records (rows) per age group, 9 age groups)

Columns: 1=Active, 2=Mild Disab., 3=HCB LTC, 4=Inst LTC, 5=Dead by 1989,
Rows:    1=Active, 2=Mild Disab., 3=HCB LTC, 4=Inst LTC, 5=Dead in 1984.
Hazard rates in row 5 are always zero-valued (i.e., since death is permanent).
Effective ages: 68, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, and 105.
Age groups in source tabulations: 1=65,    2=65-69, 3=70-74, 4=75-79, 5=80-84,
	                          6=85-89, 7=90-94, 8=95-99, 9=100-104.

Annual Matrix file has same format, except ages are for 45 single year age-groups, 
from age 65 to 109.
